Lilacs and peonies…my two favorite flowers….put them together and the color and fragrance are heady! We have five peony bushes in our garden, but they are only just budding, so what did I do…yep…purchased a bouquet of peonies at our Saturday market. Our lilac bushes decided to bloom this year after a couple of years of just green leaves. Of course we planted them in the wrong location and I will have to cut them back later this year. Cutting them back causes them to stop blooming. I’m taking advantage of this year’s blossoms by placing vases of them around the house. Such a lovely way to perfume the house! And of course I had to take some still life photos. My little potting bench makes a great outdoor “studio”. Enjoy!
