My talented friend in England makes the most gorgeous woven paper art.  From small intricate cards to large wall hangings to stars, to wreaths. She shows her pieces in several galleries, but what I love most are the ones she sends me.  The first piece she gave me came with a letter back in 2010 when we first started writing to each other.  The “wreath” was made with a page from a local map.  Since then I’ve received so many of these beautiful wreaths that I’ve taken to hanging them by their ribbons from a lamp next to a chair in the den where I read (she also puts the wreaths on cards, of which I have many!).  She uses beautiful paper and intricately folds each piece.

The other day I counted the wreaths hanging on the lamp, got out my camera and arranged them into a larger wreath.  Aren’t they just beautiful?  You can find Jan’s work -and her huband Girts’ pottery here
