We had several lovely warm days so I ventured to Schreiner’s Iris Gardens in Keizer, Oregon. I very seldom photograph the irises…they are quite beautiful but for some reason I am always drawn to the other flowers in the
gardens. The morning was bright and sunny so I decided to experiment with texture on the images to soften the shadows. While I was at it, I found some butterfly images taken on our recent trip to Key West and I thought they could use a bit of texture too.
And then I looked at the picture I took of the orchid that my dogs (Molly and Dugan the soft-coated wheaten terriers) got me for Mothers Day and it looked like it needed some texture too! So I spent an afternoon playing. Getting sidetracked is fun sometimes!
