It’s That Time Of Year

Daylight savings time…spring ahead…a promise of clear skies and warmer days…another hour of daylight.  Cherry trees straining under heavy blossoms,  magnolia’s popping out in droves, daffodils shining like beacons.  Hydrangea bushes showing just the tips of their bright green leaves. The Helleborus giving way to the next flowers in line.  But this is Oregon, so it was no surprise that the skies were gray again the crocus were toppled over by rain and all the oiled black sunflower seeds in my bird feeders were floating in water. And so we wait – some more.  Sigh.
