Well, not anymore. I’m a fan of bright colors, but in Oregon during the winter most of what we see are gray skies. While wandering around the countryside I took some shots of vineyards (there are over 200 wineries in Oregon and I don’t know how many vineyards). The day was cold, the vines bare and when I processed the images I was “in a mood” so applying a bit of texture just pushed the image to express my vision. None of us are really purists…we always “tweak” something….our words, our pictures, our feelings. Some of us just don’t admit it.
