Actually, it was a tour of several historic homes and gardens in Salem, OR to raise funds for a foundation which provides a myriad of services to children. Each of the six homes served delectable treats featuring the use of a specific herb (mint, basil, lavender, chamomile, dill and rosemary). The gardens were beautiful, full of brick walkways, bird feeders, trellises, fountains and of course…gorgeous flowers. Each home’s displays included music to compliment the treats and views. I went to a garden party and much to my surprise……..the sun was shining and the birds were singing.
